Learn to Tango in Buenos Aires - Confiteria La Ideal

So you think you want to Tango? put on your dancing shoes and head to the Confiteria La Ideal. It's a historic building in the heart of downtown Buenos Aires and it's where Evita's dancing scenes were filmed.

My teacher at La Ideal, is Eduardo Saucedo (videos of him can be found in You Tube), a renown Tango Dancer in Argentina. Classes with him at La Ideal are held on Tuesdays from 3:30 to 6pm and on Wednesdays from 9 to 10:30pm. A live band and dancing will follow the classes so you can practice all the new steps you've learned.

There are Tango classes held at La Ideal every day, but these are with other teachers and I don't know their schedules. Check directly with La Ideal, which is located on Suipacha and Corrientes Avenue, an easy walk from our downtown layover hotel.

For more information on Eduardo Sancedo, go to his website at:

So you still want to Tango? If you go, send us some pictures and let us know what you think.

Enjoy!
